These are some of our events held throughout the year:

• Flap Jack Bunny Hop: Follow the Easter bunny around on an Easter egg and basket hunt. Our pancake breakfast brings families together for a morning of flapjacks and floppy eared bunny hops.

• Derby Gala Silent Auction : Join us at our 5th Annual Derby Gala event at the race track. The day will include live racing, food & beverage, a silent auction, a derby hat and tie contest, and a simulcast of the Kentucky Derby. Download the invitation for more information.

• Spring Carnival Formal Dance : Come celebrate a "Spring Carnival" Formal. Enjoy a night of dancing with friends, dance contests and prizes, snacks and refreshments.

• Day in Our Village: Let’s get the word out. This Oak Park event, usually in June, provides WSSRF/WSSRA the ability to showcase our services to the local community. Our booth at this all day event provides games, activities and service informational material on West Suburban Special Recreation.
   
  
• Parades: Join us in one of our summer parades as we promote and support WSSRA/WSSRF. These parades, like Day in Our Village are an excellent way to build community awareness for WSSRA Programs.

• Wacky Quacky Duck Splash: This is a July fundraiser all-day event for families held in Proksa Part in Berwyn which is an all day event for families. In addition to numerous activities for children, live music and food, WSSRA holds a duck race which includes thousands of plastic ducks racing down a creek in the park. The top winner takes home $500.

• Bowlathon: Families strike it big at our annual bowling fundraiser allowing kids and adults to bowl in an afternoon of fun...plus snacks and a raffle!

• Supper With Santa : Come join us in December, 2005, for a new popular holiday family event. At Supper With Santa we will enjoy a light dinner, a visit with Santa and lots of holiday activities. Location to be announced. $4.00 (12 yr & under), $6.00 (13 yr & over).
